Our Graphic Novel

Tragedy Script
Project Reflection
In the tragedy project we were instructed to not only write a tragic play but incorporate a visual component. The one thing I am most proud of in this project was our visual component. Ben and I chose to make a graphic novel and I personally think it turned out great. It was about a girl named Alyssa whose family was falling apart, so she decided to fall into the world of prescription drugs. Prescription drugs was our social issue we decided to study and make a tragedy on. I think I am proud of this because of the time and work we put into it. We worked all in class and even for homework.
If I were to give advice to a student next year I would tell them not to procrastinate. I would say this because Ben and I started Immediately and still barely finished in time. It takes a lot of time and work to make a proud piece that even you could enjoy. One thing I would of changed or refined would be some of the pictures and how they were shot. I say this because some of the pictures were taken in landscape mode and some not. This mistake caused it to be hard to insert them and fit them inside the graphic novel. If you can manage to pull both these things off as well as managing to do good in every other aspect of this project I guarantee it will end up good.
I think the tragedy project wouldn’t be possible if we weren’t in partners. I feel that being in partners worked really well, I couldn't have done it without Ben as he played one of the main characters. I also feel if there was no partners it would be a lot different as I would have to play all the parts in our play, but because we did have partners one way it did work out was the fact that it was easy to split up all the characters without it all getting confusing.I think the only thing that was challenging about working in partners was the
communication and how sometimes one of us would forget a prop or something which made us compromise, But even that wasn’t to bad of a challenge.
For me individually I feel that the hardest challenge was being able to get extra work done outside of school. With still a lot to get done Ben and I felt we really needed get work done outside of school. With a bunch of other homework it was hard to get a lot done on the novel. I overcame this by coordinating with Ben and figuring out when we both could work on it so that we could double time the amount of work we got done.
